I am a freelance photographer and videographer based out of Eastern Oregon. My main goal is to capture the beauty of this fragile world around us, share it with the world and inspire others to seek out the beauty in everyday life. My passion lies in the outdoors, there is something so relaxing about being out in nature and taking a big deep breath, the stress just seems to melt away.
Growing up in the high mountain deserts of Eastern Oregon I spent my youth exploring the rugged mountains, standing in awe at the majestic & sublime scenes carved by nature that I was now able to soak in and enjoy. As I grew older my desire to express myself and I finally landed on a hobby that seemed to fit the ticket: photography. I bought my first camera, a Canon Rebel T2i, when I was 23 and took it out on a camping trip that weekend. I spent the entire weekend running around the woods taking pictures of everything, filling the large memory card. I remember going home and tapping my foot as I waited for the footage to finish transfer so I could see my work on the big screen… the pictures were awful: out of focus, blown out highlights and every other problem you can have. I didn’t let this stop me though, I took this as a challenge and dove into the internet to learn what I could do better.
